Ugandan Jesuits get ready to welcome one of their own, Pope Francis

In March 2013, the Papal Conclave elected and announced that Pope Francis would replace Pope Benedict XVI who had resigned a month earlier. Pope Francis came with many firsts. He is the first Latin American and the first Jesuit Pope. 

The Jesuit Society, a group of Catholic Priests are in 112 countries across the globe, with 12 in Uganda. One of their missions is in education and they have an attachment to the poor in society. Sheila Nduhukire visited the Jesuit Community as they prepare for the apostolic visit.
