  2. Although your interpretation of Daniel 11:37 may have a literal application, it may be noted that the text does not say "desire FOR women" but "desire OF women." What is the "desire OF women"? I think that the answer is found in Genesis 3:16:

"Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy DESIRE shall be TO thy husband, and he shall RULE over thee."

The desire of women is to their husbands; for him to be the head, to lead, and to rule the home. Daniel 11:37, Genesis 3:16 are directly connected to 1 Timothy 4:3 where the man of sin is described as "Forbidding to MARRY…"

Since union in marriage represents the Christian's union with Christ, the Church being the Bride of Christ, then what would be the spiritual interpretation of "Forbidding to marry"?

Paul's use of the word "expressly'" in 1 Timothy is not there without purpose. By the use of "expressly" Paul is pointing us directly to Daniel 11, and particularly verse 37.

The biblical support is found in the fact that the word "expressly" is used only 3 times in Scripture: 1 Samuel 20:21; Ezekiel 1:3; and 1 Timothy 4:1

The key is Ezekiel 1:3. The Word of the LORD came EXPRESSLY unto Ezekiel. Ezekiel was a prophet. Thus, Paul's use of "expressly" and "in the latter times" points directly to Daniel 11 "end time" or "latter times" or "latter days" events

Marriage and the Sabbath are intimately connected. In fact, the Sabbath is, as it were, the "ring" that unites and identifies the Husband, Christ, and the wife, the Church, in this holy Union. So to "forbid to marry" is to attack the Sabbath in a very subtle way.

A woman who is married must have a sign that she is married. What is the "Sign" that the Church has to show that She is married to Christ?

Also Paul's use of "forbidding" in Timothy is used for a reason. It is clear from Scripture that only God can "Forbid" Therefore this power that "forbids to marry" assumes the prerogative of God.
